The girl behind On the Range Media..

My name is Sadie Meryl Thorpe. I am a 25 year old Photographer and Equine Sports Therapist. My story starts in a very small town in deep-rooted Southern Virginia on my family's farm. At a young age I was gifted a camera by my older brother as a birthday present; this turned into a passion. I have always been captivated by the way moments could be transformed into lasting memories. I can remember walking around my families farm and snapping photos of my father on the tractor, my mom riding horses, and now 15 years later I can look back at that photos to take me right to the same place and time they were taken.

Photography became my means of connecting with people, places, and emotions on a deeper level. It has allowed me to explore and express my unique perspective of the world. Each photograph I take is an attempt to freeze a moment of beauty, to tell a story, and to share a piece of what I see and feel with others. Today, my camera is a tool for storytelling. I cherish the opportunity to capture authentic moments for my clients.

The name On the Range came about in 2022 where I began my photography journey for outside clientele while living on the range in Colorado. It stems from my travels across the US where I always end up on the range. Some of my favorite memories are from capturing life "on the range". From the East to the West Coast I have had the ability to travel and develop many relationships with clients that often last for longer than a photoshoot.

As your photographer I promise to bring passion, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to every shot. I’ll work closely with you to understand your unique vision and ensure every moment is captured with the authenticity it deserves. Whether you want photos with you and your animal, your family, engagement photos, or your special wedding day my goal is not just to take photos, but to create lasting memories and tell your story through the lens. Let's make every moment unforgettable together!

"Photography is the art of making memories tangible; it’s a way to capture the soul's fleeting moments and turn them into timeless treasures."
